Job Summary
Evaluate and treat acute and emergency complaints for inmates under medical leadership supervision. Collaborate with physicians and mental health professionals to manage patient transfers, ensure clinical documentation aligns with protocols, and support psychiatric stability assessments. Maintain HIPAA compliance, participate in quality improvement efforts, and provide cross-coverage support. This role requires an unrestricted license, DEA registration, and two years of correctional facility experience. We offer ongoing training, tuition assistance, and a $7K bonus for our mission-driven team serving underserved populations.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited education program for PAs
- Previous correctional/detention facility experience
- Minimum two (2) years' experience
- Unrestricted current license, certification or registration in state of practice
- Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration
- Current (and must maintain) lifesaving BLS and PALS (where applicable) certification through AHA
