Job Summary
Physician Assistant – Colorectal Surgery: Provide clinical care as part of a Physician/Physician Assistant team in colorectal surgery, performing 1.0 FTE as first assist with 4 10-hour shifts, 1-2 OR days and 2-3 clinic days per week, no call or weekend work. Duties include patient assessments, diagnosis and treatment decisions, ordering/interpreting diagnostics with attending physician, prescribing medications and therapies, patient education on chronic disease wellness, and collaborating with multidisciplinary team. Requires Master’s degree and licensed PA in MN, NCCPA certification, and DEA; BLS required. Preferred 2+ years in colorectal surgery or gastroenterology.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree - Completion of accredited Physician Assistant program
- Licensed Physician Assistant - MN Board of Medical Practice required upon hire
- Certification as Physician Assistant - NCCPA required upon hire
- Drug Enforcement Administration required upon hire
- BLS Tier 1 - Basic Life Support required upon hire
