Physician Assistant - Cardiothoracic Surgery Opportunity

Job Summary
Cardiothoracic surgery advanced practice provider will join a multidisciplinary team to provide inpatient care and first assist in all cardiac and thoracic operations. Manages the CVICU and step-down unit; participates in a high-volume program including open-heart surgeries, thoracic procedures (including robotic lobectomies), TAVRs, and MitraClip; engages in ECMO/Impella management and aligns with quality/outcomes improvement. Schedule starts with five 8-hour shifts for ~3 months, then four 10-hour shifts weekly (generally 6 am–4 pm). Requires current Idaho PA license, valid Idaho CS registration and DEA, vein harvest experience, and prior PA experience in cardiac disease management; opportunity to obtain Idaho medical licensure to support a multispecialty group.
Required Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Physician Assistant license in Idaho
- valid controlled substance registration with Idaho Board of Pharmacy and DEA
- Vein harvest experience required
- PA experience in cardiac disease management
- Idaho medical licensure to support internal program across communities served
