Job Summary
Cardiac Advanced Practice Provider role in cardiothoracic surgery focused on inpatient care, first assist in cardiac/thoracic operations, and management of the CVICU and step-down unit. Team-oriented environment with a multidisciplinary approach including cardiothoracic surgeons, anesthesiologists, and perfusionists. Schedule involves initial five 8-hour shifts for ~3 months, then four 10-hour shifts (generally 6 a.m.–4 p.m.). Practice emphasis includes adult cardiac and aortic surgery, minimally invasive valve surgery, robotic thoracic surgery, hybrid Maze for AF, ECMO/Impella 5.5 management, participation in STS Registry, opportunities for clinical research and educational development. Required Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Physician Assistant medical license in Idaho
- valid controlled substance registration with Idaho Board of Pharmacy and DEA
- Vein harvest experience required
- Previous Physician Assistant experience in cardiac disease management
