Job Summary
Physician Assistant opportunity in cardiothoracic surgery at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center (Boise, ID) joining a multidisciplinary team to serve the cardiac and thoracic service lines. The APP first assits in cardiac/thoracic operations, manages the CVICU and a step-down unit, supports a high-volume program performing open-heart surgeries, thoracic surgeries (including robotic lobectomies), TAVRs, and MitraClip procedures, and participates in cutting-edge clinical research and program development. Schedule includes initial five 8-hour shifts for ~3 months, then four 10-hour shifts (6 a.m.–4 p.m.). Requires Idaho PA license, CS registration, and DEA; vein harvest experience; experience in cardiac disease management; relocation and a $20k sign-on bonus are offered; comprehensive benefits provided.
Required Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Physician Assistant license in Idaho
- Valid Idaho controlled substances registration with Idaho Board of Pharmacy and DEA
- Vein harvest experience
- Previous Physician Assistant experience in cardiac disease management
- Willingness to obtain Idaho medical licensure to support multispecialty group
- Strong medical background and desire to develop practice in a multispecialty setting
