Job Summary
Cardiothoracic Surgery Advanced Practice Provider/Physician Assistant to join a three-surgeon, multi-APP team in Boise. Responsibilities include being first assist in all cardiac and thoracic operations, and managing the CVICU as well as the step-down unit, collaborating with cardiothoracic surgeons, and contributing to a high-volume program performing open-heart, thoracic, robotic lobectomies, TAVRs, and MitraClip procedures. Schedule initially includes five 8-hour shifts for ~3 months, then four 10-hour shifts per week (typical 6 a.m.–4 p.m.). Recruitment package includes $20,000 sign-on, relocation, PTO & CME, malpractice tail coverage, health/dental/vision, and retirement benefits. Qualifications emphasize Idaho PA licensure, DEA, vein harvest experience, and prior cardiac disease management experience.
Required Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Physician Assistant medical license in Idaho
- Valid controlled substance registration with Idaho Board of Pharmacy and DEA
- Vein harvest experience required
- Previous Physician Assistant experience in cardiac disease management
