Job Summary
The Cardiac Advanced Practice Provider will serve as the first assist in cardiac and thoracic operations and manage the CVICU and step-down units. Work within a three-surgeon, eight-APP team addressing adult cardiac surgery, aortic procedures, minimally invasive valve surgery, robotic thoracic surgery, and hybrid Maze procedures for atrial fibrillation, with capabilities including ECMO and Impella 5.5. Participate in ongoing quality outcomes improvement and cutting-edge clinical research within a multispecialty group. Schedule starts with five 8-hour shifts for ~three months, then moves to four 10-hour shifts (generally 6 a.m.–4 p.m.). Competitive salary and benefits including a $20,000 sign-on, relocation, PTO & CME, malpractice tail coverage, health/dental/vision, and retirement plan.
Required Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Physician Assistant medical license in Idaho
- Valid controlled substance registration with Idaho Board of Pharmacy and DEA
- Vein harvest experience required
- Previous Physician Assistant experience in cardiac disease management
