Physician Assistant, Cardiology

Per Diem Physician Assistant to join the Inpatient Cardiology team for as-needed coverage with 10-hour day shifts at Newton-Wellesley Hospital, Newton, MA. The PA will practice autonomously, conduct daily rounds, order/interpret diagnostic tests, present evaluations to attending physicians, participate in discharge planning and summaries, and educate patients and families. Requires a Master's Degree in Physician Assistant, PA licensure, and at least 2 years of cardiology experience (preferably inpatient). The role emphasizes direct patient care across ambulatory, inpatient, operative, and procedural settings, with responsibilities including history and physical exams, developing care plans, prescribing medications, maintaining timely documentation, and performing bedside procedures as appropriate. Location-based care will be delivered within the Mass General Brigham system’s cardiology services across Massachusetts locations, with dedicated responsibilities at the Newton-Wellesley Hospital Main Campus.
