Job Summary
Ambulatory Cardiology Physician Assistant role providing guideline-directed cardiovascular care in an outpatient setting. The APP delivers high-quality, cost-effective care, collaborates with the healthcare team, leads education and mentoring of APP students and new employees, and participates in clinical research and quality improvement. Responsibilities include managing a daily caseload of 10-12 patients, performing history and physical examinations, interpreting labs and diagnostic tests (EKG, CXR, stress testing, echocardiograms), coordinating care across settings, and contributing to billing and coding. Requires a master’s degree in PA or NP program with current board certification, RI license, DEA license, and BLS.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from a Physician Assistant program with a master’s degree and has current board certification from the NCCPA or graduated from a master’s program for nurse practitioners and has current board certification from ANCC or AANP.
- Current RI License and DEA license
- BLS
