Job Summary
Outpatient cardiology-focused Physician Assistant role, working Monday–Friday 8:00am–4:30pm in a busy outpatient clinic with 2 half admin days; responsible for follow-up visits, pre-operative cardiovascular evaluations, histories and exams, ordering/interpretation of diagnostic studies (labs, ECGs, cardiac imaging), developing treatment plans with supervising cardiologists, medication management and patient education, and coordinating care with primary care and surgical teams; collaborative, team-oriented environment with opportunities to develop expertise in outpatient cardiovascular management; licensed NYS PA/NP with Master's degree and interest in cardiovascular medicine; Epic EMR experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Current license and active registration as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in New York State
- Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program or completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Interest in or experience with cardiovascular medicine preferred
- Familiarity with electronic medical records; Epic experience preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills in a multidisciplinary clinical environment
- Commitment to patient-centered care and maintaining HIPAA confidentiality standards
