Job Summary
Outpatient cardiology Physician Assistant role to support follow-up visits and pre-operative cardiovascular evaluations in a busy cardiology practice. Responsibilities include conducting outpatient follow-ups for conditions such as CAD, heart failure and arrhythmias, performing pre-operative cardiovascular risk assessments, obtaining histories and cardiovascular exams, ordering and interpreting labs, ECGs, and imaging as appropriate, developing treatment plans with supervising cardiologists, providing medication management and patient education, coordinating care with primary care providers and surgeons, documenting encounters in the EHR, and participating in quality improvement initiatives. Work schedule is full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm, with clinic-based duties and about 15 patients per day once fully trained, plus admin time. Requirements include NY license/registration as a NP or PA, Master's degree, interest/experience in cardiovascular medicine, EMR experience (Epic preferred), strong communication and collaboration skills, and commitment to HIPAA standards. Required Qualifications
- Current license and active registration as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in New York State
- Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program or completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Interest in or experience with cardiovascular medicine preferred
- Familiarity with electronic medical records; Epic experience preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills in a multidisciplinary clinical environment
- Commitment to patient-centered care and maintaining HIPAA confidentiality standards
