Job Summary
Provides primary and episodic care to patients, functioning independently and in collaboration with medical professionals. Responsible for patient flow, performing physical exams, and executing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Must adhere to state regulations for prescribing and maintain quality care standards. Requires a Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program, state licensure, and national board certification. Clinical experience in emergency or urgent care, along with BLS certification and DEA license is mandatory. Strong communication skills and physical capability to handle job requirements are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree from an ARC-PA accredited program for Physician Assistants
- State licensure as a Physician Assistant
- National board certification by one of the Physician Assistant certifying bodies (i.e. NCCPA)
- DEA license with no restrictions
- Clinical experience in an emergency, urgent care or ambulatory clinic setting
- BLS certified
Additional Requirements
- Candidate must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
- Job requires physical ability for long-term standing, occasional sitting, crouching, kneeling, frequent walking, reaching with reaching above head and below waist
- Job risks include exposure to blood and body fluids (high), contact with chemicals, lifting of 30 - 40 pounds, and exposure to infectious disease.
