Job Summary
In this unpaid internship, Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant students will work under supervision to provide medication services within a Certified Community Behavioral Health Center (CCBHC) model. Responsibilities include conducting psychiatric assessments, prescribing psychotropic medications, providing crisis assessments, and collaborating with medical staff to ensure comprehensive care for patients. Candidates must demonstrate knowledge of co-occurring disorders, have adaptability, interpersonal skills, and critical thinking ability. Must be enrolled in a relevant advanced program and hold necessary licenses and certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Must be enrolled in an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant program with psychiatry specialty.
- Must be a licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Oklahoma.
- Must be nationally certified by an appropriate certifying body.
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in mental health preferred.
