Job Summary
Physician Assistant sought to join Hartford Healthcare Medical Group's Thoracic team in Bridgeport, CT. Responsibilities include 1st assisting in the OR, seeing office patients, and providing inpatient care (rounding, admissions, discharge) with emphasis on thoracic (non-cardiac) and robotic procedures. Most cases are minimally invasive with some foregut and lung surgeries. Schedule is 3-4 days per week with 10-hour shifts; call is unlikely. Facilities include Hartford Hospital, Hospital of Central CT, Backus Hospital, and possibly St. Vincent's. Flu vaccination is required. Travel and lodging provided if needed; malpractice coverage included. Availability starting late July for FMLA leave.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Physician Assistant
- Thoracic (non-cardiac) surgery experience
- Robotic experience
- Ability to 1st assist in the OR
- Office patient care experience
- Inpatient care experience (rounding, admissions, discharge)
- Fever vaccination (flu) compliance
Desired Qualifications
