Job Summary
Obtain pertinent medical histories, perform physical examinations, and review laboratory or radiologic studies to assess patients' medical, physical, psychological, and socio-economic status. Formulate accurate diagnoses, develop treatment plans aligned with collaborating physicians, and perform procedures within expertise limits. Educate patients and families on treatment plans, disease prevention, and health promotion while documenting all care activities in medical records. Conduct telephonic and virtual encounters, manage in-basket tasks, and respond to emergency situations. Adhere to universal precautions and organizational policies for all clinical and administrative duties.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate Degree in Nursing
- Graduation from accredited nursing program approved by CO State board of Nursing
- Bachelors Degree required
- Graduation from a program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA)
- Registered Nurse License (Colorado)
- Nurse Practitioner National Certificate
- APN Prescriptive Authority License (Colorado)
- Advanced Practice Nurse Registration (Colorado)
- Physician Assistant License (Colorado)
- Physician Assistant Certificate
- Drug Enforcement Administration Registration
- Basic Life Support
- National Provider Identifier
- Must obtain and remain credentialed by the KP Colorado Credentialing by start date
- Taxonomy code required at time of hire
- Education and Certification must be congruent with population focus of the position
- Must obtain Full Prescriptive Authority within two years of hire date
