Job Summary
Physician - Anesthesiologist located in Norway, Maine with MaineHealth Stephens Hospital. Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Anesthesiologist to join a community-based anesthesia team in a medical-director model, collaborating with CRNAs across three sites, providing anesthesia for diverse surgical specialties (OBGYN, General Surgery, Orthopedics, ENT, Urology, Ophthalmology, Podiatry) including 24/7 OB service. Responsibilities include collaboration with CRNAs, managing call duties, participating in regular rotations (two other anesthesiologists, 1 out of every 3 weeks), and delivering care within an Epic EMR-integrated system. Requires MD/DO, Maine medical license, board status, and DEA license. Strong patient-provider relationships and a supportive work environment are emphasized.
Required Qualifications
- MD/DO from an accredited medical school
- Active and unrestricted Maine medical license (or ability to obtain prior to employment)
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
- Active and unrestricted DEA license (or ability to obtain prior to employment)
