Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive primary and post-acute care services for geriatric patients, including performing patient history and physical exams, ordering tests, and developing pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatment plans. Exercise autonomy in medical decision-making to diagnose diseases and injuries while collaborating with and supervising Advance Practice Providers. Maintain accurate patient records, educate patients and families on medication and treatment plans, and contribute to process improvement initiatives that enhance service delivery and profitability. Requires an active NC MD license, Doctorate Degree, and proficiency in EHR documentation and billing within a senior living community setting.
Required Qualifications
- A Doctorate Degree
- Active and Valid Medical Doctor (MD) Certification/License in North Carolina (NC)
- Degree of Doctor of Medicine (M.D) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.)
- Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the hiring state
- BC/BE in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Current or processing DPS and DEA certificates

- Skill set to develop and maintain medical quality assurance and control standards
- Ability to respond calmly, objectively, and effectively in emergency situations
- Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Previous experience in primary care with geriatrics, post-acute care including Senior Living, SNF, IPR and LTACH
- Passion for value-based care
- Prior experience in EHR documentation
- Proficiency in documentation and billing in any setting above, or in the hospitalist setting
