Job Summary
Conduct physician education sessions to share data, trends, and practice patterns while investigating avoidable delays referred by case management to optimize patient outcomes. Develop and implement utilization management protocols with medical staff leadership to ensure appropriate levels of care and efficient resource use. Resolve denial trends with hospital administration and represent Utilization Management at assigned committees across system hospitals. Submit quarterly time sheets verifying contractually agreed hours and travel as a credentialed consulting representative. Assure medical staff compliance with bylaws and assist in meeting regulatory guidelines and quality improvement objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Doctorate of Medicine from an accredited School of Medicine or Osteopathy
- Board certified by a board recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties
- Holds or eligible for Medical licensure in the State of West Virginia
- Scheduled Weekly Hours: 2 Shift: Exempt/Non-Exempt
- United States of America (Exempt)

- Minimum 5 years clinical experience in the practice of medicine
