Job Summary

Conduct physical exams, assessments, and comprehensive evaluations for patients recovering from opioid and illicit substance use. Manage ongoing treatment plans by signing medical orders, documenting visits in the Electronic Health Record, and facilitating referrals to ensure continuum of care. Collaborate with the Medical Director to meet healthcare needs while educating patients, families, and staff on medication actions, side effects, and nutrition habits. Ensure all medical histories are complete before initial medication dosing and maintain compliance with state and federal documentation requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Licensed as a Physician in state of employment with Community Medical Services
  • OH: MD with American Board of Addiction Medicine (ABAM) or MD with American Board of Preventive Medicine (ABPM)
  • TX: MD/ DO with unrestricted license and DEA license
  • Fluency in documenting into an electronic medical record

Desired Qualifications

  • Clinical experience in substance abuse rehabilitation and Opioid treatment preferred
