Job Summary
Assists the Physical Therapist with patient care and implements the treatment plan, ensuring effective communication with patients and families. Responsible for maintaining equipment, supplies, and a safe clinic environment while assisting with clinic operations. Requires skills in using therapy equipment and compliance with safety regulations, alongside the ability to maintain patient confidentiality. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred along with at least one year of physical therapy clinic experience.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge
- One year of experience in an out-patient physical therapy clinic
- Knowledge of how to use and maintain physical therapy equipment
- Knowledge of department policies and procedures
- Knowledge of OSHA and infection control regulations
- Skill in using all equipment effectively
- Skill complying with OSHA and infection control policies
- Skill in assisting the Physical Therapist with patients
- Ability to communicate clearly with providers, patients, and family members
- Ability to use effective problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
