Job Summary
Maintain treatment areas, equipment, and supply closets in a clean, orderly condition. Prepare modality treatments including ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and hot/cold packs under supervision. Escort patients to treatment areas and observe them during sessions while reporting orally to the physical therapist. File exercise flowsheets, perform supply inventory, and ensure all machines are clean and functional. Adhere to HIPAA and OSHA regulations while working in a dynamic environment with a diverse network of practitioners.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- One year of physical therapy experience
- Familiarity with HIPAA, insurance regulations, policies, procedures, and other regulatory policies
- Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe working environment
- Able to react calmly and effectively under stress
- Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures
- Must be a team player with a positive attitude
- Ability to adjust to various personalities
- Ability to work with a diverse population
- Demonstrating patience and professionalism
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality on all patient issues
Desired Qualifications
- medical office experience preferred
