Job Summary
Maintain treatment areas, equipment, and supply closets in a clean, orderly condition while preparing modality treatments such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation under supervision. Escort patients to treatment areas, observe them during sessions, and report findings orally to the physical therapist. File exercise flowsheets, perform supply inventory, and adhere to HIPAA and OSHA regulations. Requires one year of physical therapy experience, familiarity with insurance regulations, and the ability to work calmly under stress. Schedule includes 20 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- One year of physical therapy experience
- Familiarity with HIPAA
- Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe working environment
- Able to react calmly and effectively under stress
- Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality on all patient issues
