Job Summary
Escort patients to treatment areas, observe treatments, and assist with exercises under physical therapist direction. Prepare and disinfect treatment areas, set up modality treatments including electrical stimulation and hot/cold packs, and maintain equipment and supply closets in a clean, safe condition. Perform deep cleaning of equipment, file exercise flowsheets, manage supply inventory, and train new technicians. Adhere to HIPAA and OSHA regulations. Work Monday through Friday from 7am to 5pm in Old Saybrook. Spire Orthopedic Partners provides infrastructure for administrative operations so physicians can focus on patient care.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), and customer service skills
- Able to follow directions from physical and/or occupational therapist
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in an outpatient physical therapy clinic or personal training environment of at least 1 year
