Job Summary
Assist the Physical Therapist with patient care and implementing the plan of treatment while establishing effective communication with patients, family members, and other departments. Respond to patient inquiries to maintain high satisfaction levels and support seamless clinic flow by assisting front office staff and managing supply inventory. Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure a safe, clean environment through proper care of equipment and adherence to OSHA and infection control regulations. Perform duties involving sitting, standing, bending, lifting, and transferring in a normal clinic environment with occasional community travel. One year of outpatient experience and a high school diploma or technical program graduation are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent
- Working knowledge of physical therapy equipment
- Knowledge of department policies and procedures
- Knowledge of OSHA and infection control regulations
- Skill in using all equipment effectively
- Skill complying with OSHA and infection control policies
- Ability to communicate clearly with providers, patients, and family members
- Ability to use effective problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Some travel within the community
Desired Qualifications
- Graduation from a technical program
- One year of experience in an out-patient physical therapy clinic
