Job Summary
The Physical Therapy Tech supports orthopedics care by administering modalities under a therapist, assisting patients with prescribed exercise programs, and helping maintain an orderly clinic. Responsibilities include patient transportation coordination, daily scheduling support, front-desk administrative duties, patient confidentiality/ HIPAA compliance, clinic supply management, equipment upkeep, and assisting supervising therapists with daily operations and chart/data entry.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred (not required)
- Training or experience in orthopedic care is preferred
- Basic knowledge of anatomy, exercise physiology, biomechanics and exercise techniques
- Successful completion of MPOWER Tech Training manual and exam after training
- Comfortable with MS Office and practice management software
- Good communication skills and patient education abilities
