Physical Therapy Resident

Physical Therapy Resident at Houston Methodist participates in a planned program of post-professional clinical and didactic education to advance preparation as a provider in acute care/orthopedics/sports. Responsibilities include patient management: evaluation, treatment, and referral; supervision of support personnel; participation in patient rounds, clinics, and department performance improvement; and clinical education per state practice act and department policies. Demonstrates ability to collaborate with patients, families, physicians and the inter-professional team; supports patient education and ongoing professional development; maintains documentation and contributes to department and program goals within the residency curriculum.
