Job Summary
Physical Therapy Resident at Houston Methodist Baytown Outpatient Center conducts patient evaluation and treatment, collaborates with interprofessional team, assists with referrals and clinics, supervises support personnel, participates in rounds and department performance improvement, and engages in clinical education per the residency curriculum. Requires Texas PT licensure, PSV Compact privileges, and BLS; typically oriented to acute care/orthopedics/sports specialty with emphasis on advanced practice development and clinical education. Expected to work within an Exempt, full-time residency program with opportunities for mentoring and continuation within the department.
Required Qualifications
- PT license in Texas (required)
- BLS/Basic Life Support certification (required)
- Graduate of PT program approved by credentialing body
- PSV Compact Privileges granted by Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners within 30 days (required)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- English language proficiency for clinical care
