Job Summary
Conduct accurate patient evaluations within 48 business hours of referral, design individualized plans of care with measurable goals, and treat patients using appropriate physical modalities and therapeutic techniques. Supervise physical therapist assistants and rehabilitation techs while documenting all services, patient progress, and communication with physicians to ensure billing accuracy and clinical compliance. Re-evaluate patients on an ongoing basis to adapt treatment programs, coordinate with interdisciplinary staff for discharge planning, and terminate services when maximum functional benefit is achieved. Maintain patient dignity, demonstrate leadership in department improvement, and adhere to all insurance guidelines and safety precautions.
Required Qualifications
- Physical therapists must be a graduate of an accredited physical therapy curriculum.
- Physical therapists must be licensed in the state practicing by the Board of Physical Therapy.
- Must provide an acceptable Criminal Background Check.
- Must be able to lift 35 pounds.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Must demonstrate appropriate and applicable fine motor skills.
- Must demonstrate adequate visual acuity for safety with patient interaction.
