Job Summary
A Physical Therapy Resident (PTR) is a physical therapist participating in a postgraduate training program and is expected to complete the program within twelve months. Responsibilities include providing direct care to patients with varied diagnoses, supervising rehabilitation technicians, volunteers, and students. Clinicians implement and adjust treatment plans, perform patient evaluation and re-evaluation, document findings and billing, coordinate post-discharge follow-up, provide educational opportunities for observers and learners, maintain productivity standards, and contribute to discharge planning. The role emphasizes mentoring, didactic education, and hands-on patient care across diverse caseloads, with certification requirements to be fulfilled upon hire (including BLS) and enrollment in a Doctorate of Physical Therapy program.

- Doctorate Physical Therapy
- BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor or BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - American Red Cross Basic Life Support
- Must be enrolled in PT Doctorate program
