Job Summary
Provide and supervise physical therapy assistant care under a physical therapist direction in the patient’s home setting. Administers therapies, monitors patient response, maintains equipment, and documents status. Performs treatments, assists with gait and transfer training, delivers prescribed home exercise programs, and ensures safety and compliance with Home Health regulations. Requires PTA licensure in the applicable state, valid driver’s license, CPR within 30 days of hire, and one year of PTA experience. Home visits and travel to patient homes are involved; strong communication, safety awareness, and ability to teach home programs are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Current physical therapy assistant licensure in the applicable state where services will be performed (MD, OH, PA, WV or corresponding PTA compact license)
- Valid driver’s license
- CPR certification within 30 days of hire date
- One (1) year of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant
