Job Summary
Administer therapeutic interventions focusing on posture, balance, locomotion, strength, endurance, flexibility, coordination, pain management, and daily functional abilities under direct Physical Therapist supervision. Assist in evaluating treatment plans, monitor patient progress, and provide timely feedback to adjust clinical outcomes. Deliver patient education on therapeutic exercises and self-management strategies while ensuring approaches align with individual age, developmental level, cultural background, and goals. Complete accurate documentation of care, treatment plans, and discharge recommendations adhering to regulatory requirements. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team on coordinated care and discharge planning. Maintain a clean environment by following infection control protocols and ensure reliable attendance. Requires PTA licensure, BCLS certification, and 0-1 years of experience.
Required Qualifications
- 0-1 years of experience in a physical therapy setting
- PTA - Physical Therapist Assistant licensed in the state of employment
- BCLS - Basic Life Support
- Physical stamina to assist patients with therapeutic activities and exercises
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to legal and regulatory standards
Desired Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of therapeutic techniques, modalities, and interventions used in physical therapy
- Ability to work collaboratively with a supervising Physical Therapist and interdisciplinary team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and team members
