Job Summary
Assist licensed physical therapists in delivering care to homebound patients across Gainesville, ALFs, and ILFs by implementing treatment plans, conducting exercises, and educating patients on rehabilitation techniques. Monitor patients during therapy sessions, document progress, and coordinate discharge plans while maintaining a sanitized, organized therapy environment. This full-time, salary-based role offers a choice between Monday-Friday (8:00AM-5:00PM) or Monday-Sunday (7:00AM-7:00PM) schedules with one weekend off per month, including a monthly bonus opportunity.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
- Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the state of practice
- CPR certification
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Compassion and empathy for patients undergoing rehabilitation
- Physical stamina and dexterity necessary to assist patients with mobility and perform therapeutic activities
- Pelvic Health Experience and/or interest
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience working as a Physical Therapy Assistant
- Specialized training or certification in specific areas of physical therapy, such as orthopedics, pelvic heatlh, neurology, or geriatrics
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Bilingual proficiency in English and another language commonly spoken by patients in the practice area
