Physical Therapy Assistant

Job Summary
Conduct homebound patient visits in ALF's and ILF's, assisting licensed physical therapists with treatment plan implementation and exercise instruction. Monitor patients during therapy sessions, educate them on proper rehabilitation techniques, and document progress. Maintain a clean, sanitized therapy environment and coordinate care adjustments with multidisciplinary teams. Assist in discharge planning and provide guidance for continued care. Full-time salary position with bonus opportunities, available Monday-Friday or Monday-Sunday schedules. Service areas include Marietta, South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
- Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the state of practice
- CPR certification
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Compassion and empathy for patients undergoing rehabilitation
- Physical stamina and dexterity necessary to assist patients with mobility and perform therapeutic activities
- Pelvic Health Experience and/or interest
- Monday-Friday (8:00AM-5:00PM) schedule
- Monday-Sunday (7:00AM-7:00PM) 7days on, 7 days off schedule
- Service in Marietta
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience working as a Physical Therapy Assistant
- Specialized training or certification in specific areas of physical therapy, such as orthopedics, pelvic heatlh, neurology, or geriatrics
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Bilingual proficiency in English and another language commonly spoken by patients in the practice area
