Direct physical therapy services under the direction of a physical therapist and physician's plan of care. Treat patients to relieve pain, develop or restore function, and maintain maximum performance through active and passive therapeutic exercises, muscle reeducation, gait training, and prosthetic training. Utilize physical agents including heat, cold, ultrasound, and massage while instructing patients on the use of wheelchairs, braces, and assistive devices. Observe and report patient reactions and condition changes to the physical therapist and organization personnel. Maintain clinical and conference notes within prescribed time frames and participate in home care team meetings and in-service education programs.
