Job Summary
Provide treatment, tests, client education, and appropriate interventions to assist clients in attaining or maintaining optimal physical wellbeing as delegated by a licensed Physical Therapist. Implement individualized care plans including therapeutic exercises, gait training, and balance interventions. Accurately document observations, interventions, and evaluations using a state-of-the-art touch pad tablet. Educate clients, family members, and representatives on rehabilitative care and activities promoting independent living. Partner with experienced Physical Therapists across the Big Island from Hilo to Pahoa. Requires a Hawaii Physical Therapist Assistant License, APAC-approved degree, or two years of experience with a satisfactory proficiency exam. Competitive pay of $50-$55 per point with flexible scheduling and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and PTO.
Required Qualifications
- Physical Therapist Assistant License required in the state of Hawaii
- Have graduated from a two-year college level program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association
- Have two years of appropriate experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant
- Have a satisfactory grade on a proficiency exam
Desired Qualifications
- Solid computer skills
- Prior experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred
