Job Summary
Conduct therapeutic interventions including modality treatments, gait training, manual therapy, and ADL training under supervision. Accurately record patient progress, measure range of motion and strength, and report status to physicians. Provide clear instructions on assistive device use and home exercise techniques while maintaining a clean treatment environment. Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care and outcomes. Maintain technical proficiency in physical therapy principles and adapt treatment approaches based on individual needs.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a CAPTE accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program
- Ability to obtain licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant in Georgia
- Proficiency in physical therapy principles, concepts, and techniques
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Detail-oriented with excellent documentation skills
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in an autonomous environment
- Compassion and patience when working with patients of all ages and conditions
- Basic PC skills, including proficiency in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
- Physical stamina to assist patients with exercises and movements
- Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and schedules
- Goal-oriented approach to patient care and treatment plans
- Enthusiasm for continuous learning and staying updated on physical therapy best practices
- Willingness to work in Folkston, GA
