Job Summary
Conduct physical therapy treatment, provide exercise instruction, and deliver patient education aimed at improving well-being while following the established plan of care. Observe, record, and report patient responses to treatment and condition changes to the supervising PT, nurse supervisor, and/or physician. Coordinate care with the healthcare team and instruct patients, families, and caregivers on therapy within scope. Perform procedures only as qualified and trained, making recommendations for plan-of-care changes to the supervising PT. Available to work a weekend rotation. Requires current licensure to assist in physical therapy practice, a valid driver's license, and ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and transferring.
Required Qualifications
- Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice
- Current driver's license and vehicle insurance
- Access to a dependable vehicle
- Public transportation
- Available to work a weekend rotation
- Ability to pass a drug test
Desired Qualifications
- Current CPR certification
- Ability to complete CPR certification within 90 days of hire
- Ability to perform physical tasks required for patient care, including lifting, transferring, and assisting with mobility
