Physical Therapy Assistant

Conduct treatment and provide exercise instruction aimed at improving patient well-being while following the established plan of care. Instruct patients and caregivers in active and passive exercise, muscle re-education, gait, functional, ADL, transfer, safety, and prosthetic training. Observe, record, and report patient responses and condition changes to supervising PT, nurses, and physicians, coordinating care with the healthcare team as appropriate. Adhere to state-specific laws governing physical therapy in home care and make recommendations for plan of care changes to the supervising Physical Therapist. Available to work a weekend rotation.
