Job Summary
Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) role at Solaris HealthCare Apopka. Requires graduation from a PTA program of at least two years and licensure or eligibility to practice as a PTA in Florida. Prior PT experience and membership in the American Physical Therapy Association are preferred. The position emphasizes delivering patient-centered physical therapy, maintaining confidentiality, coordinating with medical staff, and understanding Medicare/third-party reimbursement. Required Qualifications
- Successful graduation from a school giving a course of not less than two years for physical therapist assistants, approved for the educational preparation of physical therapist assistants by the accrediting agency recognized by CRPA or US Department of Education
- Must be licensed (or eligible for licensure) to practice as a physical therapist assistant in the state
- Prior experience in Physical Therapy, preferred
- Member of state and national American Physical Therapy Association, preferred
- Professional attitude and appearance
- Proficient administrative and public relations skills
- Thorough knowledge of principles, methods, materials and equipment used in physical therapy
- Thorough knowledge of hazards to patients during treatment and necessary precautionary/remedial measures
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients and medical staff
- Demonstrate emotional stability to cope with demands of patients and employees
- Maintain patient and employee confidentiality
- Knowledge of Medicare and third party reimbursement, preferred
