Physical Therapy Assistant, PTA

Administer physical therapy modalities and therapeutic exercises as prescribed by the physical therapist, assisting with patient restoration of functioning following injury or disease. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans while monitoring and documenting resident progress to communicate changes to the supervising staff. Educate residents and families on home exercise programs and safety precautions, maintaining a clean, organized, and safe therapy environment. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and facility policies. Demonstrate patience, initiative, and respect when interacting with residents, families, and visitors, making sound independent decisions within the department's CQI and infection control programs.
