Job Summary
The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) will provide comprehensive treatment to patients under the supervision of a Physical Therapist (PT) in compliance with state practice guidelines. Responsibilities include assisting in patient identification and referrals, documenting patient progress, ensuring necessary medical documentation is obtained, participating in team meetings, supervising junior staff, and maintaining professional relationships. Compliance with safety policies, patient confidentiality, and productivity requirements is essential. This role also includes providing in-service education related to patient care and adhering to all facility policies.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited university with a BA or Associates degree in Physical Therapy that is recognized by the APTA
- Holds current license and/or registration in the state
