Job Summary
Physical Therapy Assistant administers treatment under the physical therapist's plan, coordinates changes in patient condition with the PT, educates patients and families on therapy plans and home exercise programs, documents patient progress, participates in required conferences, maintains licensure and continuing education, and works in patients' homes in a home-health setting. Requires an Associate degree from an APTA-accredited PTA program, current PTA licensure in applicable state(s), valid driver's license, CPR certification, ability to travel locally, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. PRN home-health role with opportunities for flexible scheduling and career growth.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree from an APTA accredited school of physical therapist assistants
- Current State professional license as a PTA in any/all applicable states
- Current driver’s license in good standing
- Current CPR
- Reliable transportation and auto liability insurance
- Must read, write and comprehend English
- One year experience as a PT in a clinical care setting
- Hepatitis profile if required to make visits
- Prolonged standing/walking; lift/transfer up to 50 lbs
