Job Summary
Conduct physical therapy treatment, instruct patients on active and passive exercises, and provide education on gait, transfers, and safety within established plans of care. Observe and report patient responses to treatment and condition changes to supervising PTs, nurses, and physicians. Coordinate care with the healthcare team and perform procedures only within qualified scope while adhering to state laws. Available to work a weekend rotation. Licensed and certified to assist in physical therapy practice.
Required Qualifications
- Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice
- Current driver's license and vehicle insurance
- Access to a dependable vehicle
- Public transportation
- Available to work a weekend rotation
- Ability to pass a drug test
Desired Qualifications
- Current CPR certification
- Ability to complete CPR certification within 90 days of hire
- Ability to perform physical tasks required for patient care, including lifting, transferring, and assisting with mobility
