Job Summary
Conduct physical therapy treatment, provide exercise instruction, and deliver patient education aimed at improving well-being while following the established plan of care set by the supervising PT. Instruct patients and caregivers in active/passive exercises, gait training, ADLs, transfers, and safety protocols. Observe, record, and report patient responses to treatment and condition changes to the supervising PT, nurse supervisor, or physician. Coordinate care with the broader healthcare team and make recommendations for plan-of-care adjustments. Perform only procedures within your qualified scope while adhering to state-specific home care laws. Available to work a weekend rotation with a current driver's license and vehicle access.
Required Qualifications
- Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice
- Current driver's license and vehicle insurance
- Access to a dependable vehicle
- Public transportation
- Available to work a weekend rotation
- Ability to perform physical tasks required for patient care, including lifting, transferring, and assisting with mobility
- Candidates are required to pass a drug test before beginning employment
Desired Qualifications
- Current CPR certification
- Ability to complete CPR certification within 90 days of hire
