Job Summary
Perform treatment, provide exercise instruction, and deliver patient education aimed at improving well-being while following the established plan of care. Instruct patients and caregivers on active/passive exercise, muscle re-education, gait, functional tasks, ADLs, transfers, safety, and prosthetic training. Observe, record, and report patient responses and condition changes to the supervising PT, nurse supervisor, and physician. Coordinate care with the healthcare team and make recommendations for plan-of-care adjustments. Follow state-specific home care laws and perform only procedures within your qualified scope. Work a weekend rotation in any home setting regardless of client demographics.
Required Qualifications
- Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice
- Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation
- Available to work a weekend rotation
- UnitedHealth Group is a drug - free workplace. Candidates are required to pass a drug test before beginning employment.
Desired Qualifications
- Current CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire
