Job Summary
Implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, including therapeutic exercise, gait training, and manual therapy. Observe patient responses to treatment, communicate progress to the supervising therapist, and assist during evaluations and complex procedures. Instruct patients, families, and caregivers in safe mobility techniques, organize treatment activities, and participate in interdisciplinary care conferences. Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure adherence to rehabilitation service standards while supporting a safe care environment. Work part-time Tuesdays and Thursdays averaging 25 hours per week with flexible scheduling options.
Required Qualifications
- Part-time Tuesdays and Thursdays required
- Part-time role averaging 25 hours per week
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
- Knowledge of physical therapy treatment techniques appropriate to the PTA scope of practice
- Ability to implement treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
- Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary care team
- Must be able to communicate the English language effectively both orally and in writing, and comprehend the same
