Job Summary
Administer medically prescribed physical therapy treatments for patients with musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, cardiovascular, and integumentary injuries to restore function and relieve pain. Review patient goals, conditions, and medical records to determine necessary treatment plans, then test strength, motor development, and respiratory efficiency while documenting responses in electronic or paper charts. Adjust therapies to achieve maximum benefit and confer with the physical therapist to modify care and integrate it with broader health strategies. Assist in marketing efforts, attend departmental meetings, and support clinic operations as directed by the PT director. Requires a Kansas State Board clinical practice license, an Associate's degree from an accredited program, and experience in related fields.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
- Current Kansas State Board clinical practice license
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, insurance agencies and regulatory agencies
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
- Knowledge of Microsoft office
- Knowledge of basic scheduler/documentation software functioning
- Ability to perform close vision
- Ability to perform peripheral vision
- Ability to adjust focus
- Ability to spend up to 4-5 hours in front of a computer
- Ability to stand
- Ability to walk
- Ability to use hands to finger handle or feel
- Ability to bend
- Ability to stoop
- Ability to lift up to 50# frequently
- Ability to lift 70# occasionally
- Ability to climb or balance
- Ability to kneel

- Must be able to travel between clinics to help cover patient care at another facility
