Physical Therapy Assistant Per Diem San Diego County

Provide direct physical therapy services under the direction of a physical therapist and in accordance with the physician's plan of care. Treat patients to relieve pain, develop or restore function, and maintain maximum performance by directing active and passive therapeutic exercises, muscle reeducation, gait training, and prosthetic training. Utilize physical agents such as heat, cold, ultrasound, and massage while observing and reporting patient reactions and condition changes to the physical therapist and organization personnel. Instruct patients on the use of wheelchairs, braces, crutches, and orthotic devices, and maintain necessary clinical and conference records. Participate in Home Care Team meetings and inservice education programs. Per diem pay ranges from $54 to $60 per visit.
