Job Summary
As a Physical Therapy Assistant, work under licensed physical therapists to implement treatment plans, monitor patient progress, and support recovery for patients of all ages. Responsibilities include administering therapy treatments, documenting progress, training patients and caregivers, and supervising aides and volunteers. Requires an Associate degree in therapy, Maryland PTA license, and current BLS certification. Key skills include problem-solving, time management, and effective communication.
Required Qualifications
- Associate of Arts degree from an approved therapy program
- Maryland PTA license (or temporary license pending exam/reciprocity)
- Current BLS (CPR) certification
