Job Summary
Provide direct patient care in acute, sub-acute, and outpatient settings by delivering comprehensive physical therapy services to diverse populations. Efficiently complete all required documentation, assist in scheduling, and attend interdisciplinary rounds or committee meetings as assigned. Maintain unit-specific competencies, mandatory learning, and clinical certifications per department policy while demonstrating competence to provide physical rehabilitation services. Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions to drive appropriate plans of care. Lift and/or move more than 100 pounds frequently, utilizing modified devices for loads up to 50 pounds. Obtain CPR certification within 30 days of hire. Work part-time day shifts Monday through Thursday at CalvertHealth Medical Center.
Required Qualifications
- degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program
- current license from the Maryland Board of Physical Therapy
- competence to provide physical rehabilitation services by reason of education, training and experience
- Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required in accordance with the Staff Education and Training policy GA-057 and/or any other department requirements
- Required to lift and/or move more than 100 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with modified lifting device
- Must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions that drive an appropriate plan of care
- CPR required within 30 days of hire
